22 mm double glazed units (U ≥ 2,8) Glazing from the outside with wooden glasing bead. Fastened with hidden nails, sealed with silicone. As option possible to increase the U value by using internal selective glass and Argone filling (U ≥ 1,2).

Finishing

2+ Windows are unfinished. To protect the timber against the moisture and UV radiation is necessary to finish the windows immediately right after assembly. Minimum recommended finishing: 1 layer primer + 2 layers finishing. As an alternative wooden oil finishing can be used.

The lightest recommended shade for finishing with glaze is “kiefer”, since pine changes its natural colour with time and in case of colourless finishing agent or colour containing very little pigments exposure to UV-rays may turn the windows grey or reddish.
